The Fund for North Bennington, Inc. owns 76.5 acres of fields near the Mile-Around Woods. This land is currently managed as open fields planted in rotation with corn and hay. The Fund is now considering what might be the best management options for the acreage in coming years.

Since 2001, Landview Farms has managed these fields in support of their large dairy operation in White Creek. The current lease on The Fund's land ends in October 2024. Landview’s operators have been invited to the meeting at The Left Bank,on July 25 at 7 p.m., to answer questions and describe their management objectives.

Members of the public are invited to attend to share their ideas, concerns or suggestions about current management or about possible alternative goals for future use of this important resource. Trustees of The Fund will be present.

This is an informational meeting. Decisions about any renewal or modifications of the lease, or about any other plans for the land, are expected to be made this fall by the trustees of The Fund.

A map of The Fund's agricultural land and more information about its use can be found here.
