The Cora May and Bob Howe Award is presented occasionally by The Fund for North Bennington to a member of the village community who has invested exceptional time, talent and spirit for the benefit of our village.
The award honors the late Bob Howe and Cora May Howe for the example they set over years of engaged and thoughtful community life.
The first recipients of the Howe Award, in August 2025, were Patricia Gibbons and John Ulrich — both longtime, beloved teachers at the Village School of North Bennington.
The Howe award may be made to an individual, group, project or organization. Award decisions will be made at the discretion of the trustees of The Fund for North Bennington.
