This page contains selections of North Bennington ephemera — theater programs, bills, invoices, advertisements and other artifacts of everyday life from the village in the 19th and 20th centuries. Materials from the North Bennington High School may be found here. All downloads are pdf. Many of the items below were provided by George H. Elwell, III.

Community Players Program 1934

This 27-page program contains a wide selection of advertisements from the era. The play’s cast featured many villagers prominent in later years, including Elizabeth Dwyer (then Elizabeth Mosher), the Banner columnist featured on this web site, and Frederick Welling, who served for 50 years on the Village Board of Trustees.
