Celebrate community at the Village Block Party on Sept. 28

The North Bennington Roundtable invites everyone to the North Bennington Village Block Party, a lively celebration of community spirit, creativity, and connection! This year’s event will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from noon to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the historic Park McCullough House. Tell your neighbors!  Bring the whole family!

The Village Block Party is free and offers family-friendly fun for all ages with the biggest and best potluck picnic around, live music and a wide range of hands-on activities. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dish to share, along with a blanket and chairs, for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship with neighbors and friends. Hamburgers and hot dogs—generously donated by Pangaea & Powers Market—will be served hot off the grill by members of the North Bennington Fire Department. Donations to benefit the Fire Department will be gratefully accepted!

The North Bennington Roundtable is a neighborhood organization dedicated to fostering community connection, engagement, and belonging. Events like the Village Block Party help bring neighbors together to celebrate the unique spirit of our village. For more information, please contact Matthew Perry at matthewvae@comcast.net or Jennie Rozvcki at mclibrary@comcast.net.

The trail south of The Mile-Around Woods was upgraded this summer by a crew from the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps.  Above, a section of “turnpike” in an area that is always wet and muddy in spring.  The gravel sections will keep the trail readily passible during periods of heavy rain and snowmelt.  In most seasons, walkers can continue to travel over the turf to the side.  The project was funded by public donations and a generous gift from the Estate of Terry Creach.
