From the Village of North Bennington Trustees:

We urge all residents to follow the recommendations of the Governor’s office and the Vermont Department of Health and STAY AT HOME unless performing an ESSENTIAL task. Please see Governor Scott’s ORDER of 3/24/20. If you need to go food shopping, to the pharmacy or do other essential activities, keep a distance of six feet between yourself and others. Please connect with family, friends and your community in responsible ways such as using telephone and/or technology. We encourage social distancing, not social isolation! If you need assistance in obtaining food or essentials please use the Vermont helpline at 2-1-1.

Outdoor resources in the Village

The paths at The Mile Around Woods are being used during the pandemic much more heavily than in normal times. Some residents have stopped walking there because people are failing to maintain a six-foot separation. Please be sure to maintain respectful distances when exercising! There have also been complaints about children mixing closely on playgrounds. The same rules apply to children. Be mindful of social distancing!

A regularly updated guide to activities for sheltered residents and resources for all can be found at the ActBennington site here.
